Technical Communication consists of a variety of disciplines with the shared goal of communicating complex information of specialized topics to a target audience. STC helps employers and recruiters meet the high demand for professional technical communicators and find the exact skill set they require.
This is accomplished through multiple channels of communication, including technical writing & editing, technical illustration, visual design, web design & development, e-learning & training, and more. Today, as technology continues to change and advance at a rapid pace in the 21st century, the demand for professional technical communicators remains high and is expected to grow for years to come.
Every May or June, STC holds the Technical Communication Summit, the largest conference for technical communicators in the world. The Summit includes over 80 education session broken up into relevant subject areas or tracks; networking events such as the Opening General Session, Welcome Reception, Communities Reception, and Closing Lunch; an Honors Banquet; and an exhibit hall with dozens of companies offering technical communication products or services. The Summit also includes pre-conference education for an additional price.
Employers and recruiters can also review resumes and post jobs on this site. Take advantage of the experience and skills gained by hiring STC members, and visit the Job Bank page for pricing options.
